Youth Work and Football Coach Volunteers Needed at Clee Fields
Are you ready to volunteer and help young people in your local community?
We are actively looking for Youth Work and Football Coach volunteers to support our free, open use community sessions at Clee Fields.
The sessions take place at our Clee Fields site from Monday to Friday between the hours of 3pm and 5pm.
How does YMCA Humber help young people?
YMCA Humber is here to be a leader in the transformation of lives and communities in the Humber region.
We believe that everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.
We offer a wide variety of programmes and services to inspire young people to become the best they can in mind, body, and spirit.
Our youth work sessions are designed to help young people:
- Contribute through offering interest and life experience so young people can make a difference in their communities
- Thrive by having fun and being inspired to make positive choices.
What happens at our open community sessions?
At the open community sessions, the 3G facility is opened to the local community to use. The sessions are very well attended with a key age group of 10- to 16-year-olds playing football.
During the sessions, the community is encouraged to engage in positive, healthy behaviours and use the fantastic facility available to them.
What will the role involve?
You will play a key role at our free community drop-in sessions that offer a safe space for young people to spend time with their peers whilst engaging in positive activities.
With the ability to inspire, energise and motivate young people, you will create and maintain a safe, inclusive environment for everyone accessing the sessions.
You will find plenty of ways to use your listening skills as well as being a first point of advice for practical concerns that young people face.
What are the benefits of volunteering?
There are many benefits to volunteering. As a volunteer you will know that your time is making a major contribution to your local community, and in return YMCA Humber will make sure your volunteer role is a rewarding experience.
Our YMCA agreement to you is to provide each of our volunteers with:
- A warm and welcoming work environment
- A full induction and taster session for all roles
- The opportunity to undertake additional training
- A key role in an inclusive team
- Extensive and regular supervision and support.
